Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Chennai – Local Sightseeing
- Arrive at Chennai Airport / Railway Station, meet & greet by driver.
- Check-in at hotel and freshen up.
- Explore the highlights of Chennai:
- Marina Beach
- Fort St. George
- Kapaleeshwarar Temple
- San Thome Basilica
- Evening stroll at Besant Nagar Beach / Elliot’s Beach
- Dinner & Overnight stay at Chennai
Day 2: Chennai → Mahabalipuram (60 km / 1.5 hrs) → Pondicherry (100 km / 2 hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) – UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Visit:
- Shore Temple
- Pancha Rathas (Five Rathas)
- Arjuna’s Penance / Descent of the Ganges
- Continue to Pondicherry, the French Riviera of India.
- Check-in at hotel. Evening free to explore Promenade Beach / French Quarters.
- Dinner & Overnight stay at Pondicherry
Day 3: Pondicherry Sightseeing
- After breakfast, enjoy Pondicherry local sightseeing:
- Sri Aurobindo Ashram
- Auroville (Matri Mandir)
- Paradise Beach / Serenity Beach
- Explore French Quarter: streets, cafes & boutiques
- Evening free for beach walk / shopping.
- Dinner & Overnight stay at Pondicherry
Day 4: Pondicherry → Chidambaram → Thanjavur (200 km / 5 hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Chidambaram – famous for Nataraja Temple (Lord Shiva).
- Continue to Thanjavur, the land of Chola kings.
- Visit on arrival (time permitting):
- Brihadeeswara Temple (Big Temple) – UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Thanjavur Palace & Art Gallery
- Dinner & Overnight stay at Thanjavur
Day 5: Thanjavur → Kanchipuram → Chennai (370 km / 7 hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram, the city of thousand temples.
- Visit:
- Ekambareswarar Temple
- Kailasanathar Temple
- Silk Weaving Centre (famous for Kanchipuram sarees)
- Continue back to Chennai.
- Evening leisure or shopping at Phoenix Marketcity / T Nagar.
- Dinner & Overnight stay at Chennai
Day 6: Departure from Chennai
After breakfast, transfer to Chennai Airport / Railway Station for your return journey with memories of Tamil Nadu’s culture, temples, and beaches.
